I am an agile marketing and communications professional with a passion for the art and science of marketing. I have strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, enjoy fast-paced challenging environments and am results-focused.

 
 
  • I love being challenged to devise strategies that achieve business goals.

    My process begins with deep research, as I believe the most responsive tactics come from listening to consumer insights. From there, creative and actionable tactics are devised.

    Various strategy tasks throughout my degree prepared me well for devising Brisbane Grammar School’s Marketing Strategy, which was externally validated by international marketing agency Clemenger and approved by the BGS Board of Trustees. I have also consulted small businesses on their marketing strategies.

  • Editing and copywriting skills are essential to implement marketing strategies.

    I have diverse experience in editing and copywriting, including newsletters, daily communications, publication/magazine writing, advertorials, EDMs (email marketing), social media, report writing and more.

  • Marketing is an evolving industry with new methods to reach consumers constantly appearing.

    While my degree did not cover digital marketing extensively, I completed an internship at Alpha Digital, a multi-award-winning Google premier partner agency, to gain experience in this area.

    In 2021, I completed a Certified Digital Marketing Professional course through Digital Marketing Institue to advance my knowledge.

    I have taken on digital marketing freelance work to hone my skills and have achieved tangible results.

    At Brisbane Grammar School, we engage an external agency to build campaigns to reduce time on task and navigate the complexities of invoicing. I liaise with the agency and provide details targeting information, budget allocations, creatives and ad copy, and campaign structures.

    A digital marketing nurture funnel was a part of the Marketing Strategy I devised for BGS, and implementation of this tactic is underway.

  • At Brisbane Grammar School I sourced, curated, designed, scheduled, and published social media content following the content pillars I devised in the BGS Marketing Strategy.

    Content pillars were created by assessing the School’s strategic objectives, analysing post engagement rates, assessing responses from community surveys and aligning these insights with the BGS Marketing Strategy objectives.

    I have also consulted small businesses on their social media plans and created templated designs for staff.

  • Design is a sought after skill for marketers as it allows end-to-end actioning of tactics.

    I am self-taught in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop and have limited Illustrator skills. I am also an intermediate user of PremierPro.

    While I am not a Graphic Designer, I have intermediate design skills that have been applied across various contexts, from website design to marketing collateral. My portfolio has extensive examples of my design work from across the years.

  • Over the years, I have had freelance requests for website development and copywriting. My tech-savviness has allowed me to teach myself how to use various platforms to complete these requests.

    The most recent website I completed was for smaller eCommerce startup Flower du Jour (following their brand style guide).

    At Brisbane Grammar School, I updated and created pages on the BGS website daily. I build the newsletter on the website each week, and I have created numerous landing pages to enhance our digital marketing effectiveness.
